Job Description
Assist in the preparation of employee meals, serve employee meals at scheduled times. Assure that the service and quality of the provided Food & Beverage items is conform the policies & procedures and conform the standards of performance of the Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort.
Responsible for smoothly running operations of all activities in the Stewarding department.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for reporting maintenance requests to your Supervisor.
• Maintain good communication through the daily Log Book.
• Have good knowledge of all hotel facilities in order to answer all guest questions.
• Responsible for maintaining good working relations and good communication with the kitchen and wait staff.
• Assist in the preparation of food for employee meals and make sure that the service and quality is conform the standards of performance of the Renaissance Curacao Resort & Casino
• Responsible for the proper storing of food after all meals.
• Responsible for maintaining sufficient supplies, including: bread, salad, beverages and hot meals during the opening hours of the employee Cafeteria.
• Serve meals to all employees of the Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort at scheduled times.
• Maintain the Cafeteria neat, clean, safe and well organized at all times.
• Assist your colleagues at all times.
• Be aware of all safety procedures of the hotel.
• Perform any other duties as required.
• Maintain good communication through the daily Log Book.
• Be a good representative of the Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort.
• Responsible for setting up and making mice en place in the Cafeteria and all needed supplies before opening hours.
• Responsible for receiving and storing all incoming Food & Beverage items.
• Have good knowledge of the daily menu.
• Have good knowledge of kitchen operations.
• Handle all complaints and special requests with professionalism.
• Have basic knowledge of all hotel facilities.
Requirements:
• A certificate of the Great Food Safe Food training
• A minimum of 1 year of experience practicing the food production
• English speaking and writing should be fluent, a second language is required and can be Dutch, Spanish or Papiamento.
• Good communication skills.
• Team player.
• Be a responsible and motivated person.
• Be a self-starter.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Have good knowledge of preparation standards.
• A good physical condition.
